2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Cambodian Eagles with an enthusiastic Board and better numbers in the playing group than we have ever seen before. The schedule for the year is reasonably intense with the team locked in to play a game every three or four weeks from the season kick off in June through to our final tournament at the Indochina Cup in Myanmar on November.
It is also a very exciting year for the development of AFL football in Cambodia, with the reestablishment of the Cambodian Cobras as our Local National Team, targeted development training sessions, and partnership discussions with a number of organisations interested in being a part of this development. I am very proud to say that the Cambodian Eagles are a leader in the development of locals playing AFL across the region and look forward to growing this into a recognised sport across Cambodia.
We as a club have been very fortunate to have great support for our continued growth, and I would like to thank the West Coast Eagles for our ongoing partnership, our sponsors for continuing to invest in what is quickly becoming a a recognised entity across Cambodia, and most of all our members and supporters for their involvement in making the club a success.
